Editorial Policy

Motorcycle Accident Law Compass exists to give motorcyclists clear, honest, and reliable information about motorcycle accident law. This Editorial Policy describes how we research, write, review, and correct our content.

Our Mission

We translate complex legal topics into plain language so riders can understand their options, ask better questions, and make informed decisions. We are an independent publisher — not a law firm — and we do not provide legal advice (see our Disclaimer).

How We Research

  • We start from primary and authoritative sources: statutes, court rules, government publications, bar association materials, and reputable legal references.
  • We cross-check key claims against multiple sources before publication.
  • We distinguish settled, widely applicable principles from state-specific rules, and we say so explicitly when the law varies by state.

How We Write and Review

  • Every article is drafted in plain language, avoiding unnecessary legal jargon.
  • Drafts are reviewed by an editor for accuracy, clarity, and tone before publication.
  • We do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial content. If content is ever sponsored or contains affiliate links, it will be clearly labeled.

Keeping Content Current

Laws change. We periodically review published guides and update them when the underlying law or practice changes materially. Updated articles show a revision date.

Corrections Process

We take accuracy seriously. If you spot an error, please tell us through our Contact page or at info@motorcycleaccidentattorney.site with “Correction” in the subject line. We will:

  • Acknowledge your message and investigate the claim against our sources.
  • Correct confirmed errors promptly and note significant corrections on the article.
  • Remove or rewrite content that turns out to be materially misleading.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently. No advertiser, sponsor, or referral partner dictates what we cover or what we conclude.
